New free-to-air entertainment network GREAT! to launch next week
New free-to-air entertainment network GREAT! will launch in the UK next Tuesday (May 25).
The new channels comprise GREAT! movies, GREAT! movies action, GREAT! movies classic and GREAT! tv, which will all be available on Freeview, Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat. They’ll be replacing existing channels Sony Movies, Sony Movies Action, Sony Movies Classic and the Sony Channel.

GREAT! movies (Freeview 33, Sky 321, Virgin 425, Freesat 302)
A new home for blockbusters, classics and cult hits on free-to-air television, GREAT! movie’s dramatic line up includes acclaimed neo-noir Blade Runner 2049; Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and Brad Pitt war drama Fury.
GREAT! movies classic (Freeview 51, Sky 319, Virgin 424, Freesat 303)
If you’re after the films that history remembers for all the right reasons, look no further than GREAT! movies classic. Its schedules include the Oscar-winning musical adaptation Oliver!; Hitchcock’s famous thriller Psycho, and the ahead-of-its-time racial drama Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.
GREAT! movies action (Freeview 41, Sky 323, Virgin 426, Freesat 305)
Forget the messing about, GREAT! movies action is all about the fights, explosions and thrilling chases. The new channel combines the best of old and new action films, from classic John Wayne westerns to Jean-Claude Van Damme hits.
GREAT! tv (Freeview 49, Sky 157, Freesat 142, Virgin 189)
On-the-edge-of-your-seat drama and truly nostalgic entertainment series come together on GREAT! tv, a channel which includes old favourites such as Murder, She Wrote and Starsky & Hutch as well as classic episodes of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
