X Factor favourite is forced to leave competition
The X Factor contestant Ivy Grace Paredes has been forced to leave the competition.
The Filipina singer wowed judges Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne in with her rendition of “All The Man I Need” in her audition a few weeks ago.
Sources have confirmed Paredes was set to achieve a place at the coveted Judges’ Houses, where she would have been mentored by Sharon Osbourne as part of the Over 25s category.
However, Paredes’ application for a visa to the United States was denied at the last minute, forcing her to drop out of the competition and another to take her place.
A source told the Metro: “As with all contestants travelling to the US for Judges Houses, Ivy was required to have a visa. Unfortunately there was an issue with her application being approved which meant that she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition.”
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Ivy was a real hope for the judges after her audition but her dreams are in tatters. She was point blank refused the visa. X Factor [bosses] tried their best to help, but ran out of time.
“There has been talk of a past issue causing problems but no one but Ivy knows the reason.”
Paredes’ replacement is yet to be announced.
