WATCH: Behind the scenes of Homeland season 6
The cast of Homeland have discussed filming in New York and what’s in store for their characters in season 6.
A new teaser video takes fans behind the scenes of the upcoming season of Homeland whilst lead actress Claire Danes describes what could be the most thrilling series to date.
Danes talks to the camera about the new plot line of the series which involves Carrie Mathison returning to the US to shut down a terrorist plot attacking the first American female president.
Danes said: “It’s a really fascinating time, that transitional moment, and that president will heavily inform the character of the [CIA].
“Carrie will always be in the middle. The pace isn’t going to get any slower, the questions aren’t going to get any simpler and the characters aren’t going to get any less complex.”
We also witness co-star Mandy Patinkin, who plays Saul Berenson, describe his excitement over filming in New York: “There’s an electricity in New York, there’s an energy here. It’s one of the epicentres of the world.”
What exactly will Saul think of Carrie’s new role working for a foundation giving aid to Muslim Americans? And what will be in store now that she is up against her old black ops enemy Dar Adal?
Earlier this month, Showtime confirmed that Homeland will be returning in the States on Sunday, January 15 at 9pm ET. Channel 4 will air the new season for UK audiences, but there is yet to be a confirmed date for the season premiere.
Homeland will return early next year on Channel 4.
