TOWIE’s Megan McKenna hits back at Chloe Sims for claiming her split was for “airtime”
The Only Way Is Essex‘s Megan McKenna has responded to comments made by her co-star Chloe Sims.
Megan publicly broke up with her on-off boyfriend Pete Wicks during this season of TOWIE after the star couldn’t get over his past infidelities. However, Chloe confirmed that the pair are back on earlier this week, suggesting the whole split was done for “airtime”.
She told Star magazine: “I reckon they’re back together because of the way he’s behaved lately.
“I think she’s doing it for the show, though. Some people are really hungry and just want the airtime!”
Now Megan has hit back, arguing Chloe “has no right” to make judgements about her relationship. Speaking at the launch of her new restaurant MCK Grill, she told The Sun: “I feel quite sad that Chloe has to be so bitter about Pete and I being civil.
“She has no idea what’s going on between us. She has no right to judge my life or his.
“If Pete and I want to be on a night out and have a drink together – why is that any of her business?
“I don’t understand how she thinks I am trying to get more airtime by us being civil.
“I got more airtime when we were not speaking and I was having arguments with everyone else.
“I do not understand why she has been saying that – I am very confused.”
Megan also had a word or two to say about her co-stars Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet. She said: “I feel like Tommy and Georgia have been a bit unfair on me and the situation.
“It is almost like they enjoyed it when Pete and I were screaming at each other and as soon as we made peace everyone is kicking off about it.”
The Only Way Is Essex will return for another series later this year on ITVBe.
