The Returned returns to Channel 4
Following a two-year wait, French thriller The Returned is set to return to UK screens very soon.
Channel 4 has confirmed that the second season of the Emmy-winning supernatural drama, which follows a group of people who’ve come back from the dead, will be back this autumn.
The new episodes will be shown on Channel 4 shortly after they premiere on French channel Canal+.
Season two will begin as Adele (Clotilde Hesme) is about to give birth to the child of Simon (Pierre Perrier). Will the child be undead, or perhaps a hybrid? It’s yet to be seen. Perhaps things are about to get a bit ‘Rosemary’s Baby‘..
Meanwhile, Lena (Jenna Thiam) and her father Jerome (Frederic Pierrot) are searching desperately for Claire (Anne Consigny) and Camille (Yara Pilartz), and a stranger with secrets up his sleeve arrives in town.
An American adaptation of The Returned aired on A&E earlier this year, but didn’t survive past its first season. Judging by the new trailer below, the French are back to show them how it’s done.
