Friday nights need a little bit of a thrill as we edge into the chilly Autumn months. Thankfully, ITV is here to help with bold new drama The Level, which explores a dangerous alliance unlike one you’ve ever seen.
Starting tonight at 9pm, The Level is the story of Nancy Devlin (Karla Crome) – a Detective Sergeant who leads a shady double life. With an excellent police record, Nancy appears to all to be the perfect example of what a copper should be. Her sparkling record masks a dangerous connection to businessman and drugs trafficker Frank Le Saux (Philip Glenister).
It’s Nancy who pulls the strings to make sure Le Saux stays off the police radar. He is the father of her best friend Hayley (Laura Haddock), and the two share an mysterious connection.
However, Nancy’s days playing this dangerous game seem numbered when she becomes the subject of an investigation herself. A homicidal individual begins stalking her, and whats worse, they threaten to expose her secret.
