Netflix unveils first images of new Black Mirror with Bryce Dallas Howard and Mackenzie Davis
With less than three months to go until new episodes of Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror drop on Netflix, we’re very excited to lay our peepers on these exclusive first look images from episodes ‘San Junipero’ and ‘Nosedive’.
The former stars The Martian‘s Mackenzie Davis, pictured below, and Doctor Who‘s Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who is soon to appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII. ‘San Junipero’ appears to have somewhat of a vintage feel to it, which should be familiar territory for Davis, whose AMC TV series Halt and Catch Fire takes place during the 1980s personal computing revolution. We know it will be directed by Owen Harris (Misfits, Kill Your Friends), which gives us a rough idea as to its tone, however we’re still yet to glean anything more about the episode, synopsis-wise.
The second lot of images come from ‘Nosedive’ – an episode starring woman of the moment Bryce Dallas Howard (Pete’s Dragon, Jurassic World), alongside Alice Eve and James Norton, as directed by Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice, Atonement). With Howard depicted in both stills with a phone in her hand, we can anticipate a classically Black Mirror-esque attack on technological addiction.
From these four images alone, we’re already on the edge of our seats to see what the six new instalments of Black Mirror have in store for us.
Black Mirror premieres globally on Netflix on October 21st, 2016, at 12:01am PT.
