Robin Williams’s daughter Zelda shares her father’s best advice
Up and coming actress Zelda Williams has shared the best career advice she ever got from her famous father Robin Williams, who died in August 2014.
Speaking with ET at the premiere of Dead of Summer, a horror series in which she plays the leading role, Zelda shared this handy advice from her late dad:
“He always said, ‘Don’t wear your mic pack to the bathroom. Don’t do that, ever. If you’re mic’d don’t go anywhere or say anything that you don’t want other people to hear because there’s probably, like, 30 people with headsets on listening.'”
Zelda has already appeared in films such as House of D alongside her father, and played parts in TV shows like Teen Wolf, however Dead of Summer will see her taking on her first leading role.
“I’m grateful that it took such a long time for me to have someone decide to choose me for something like this,” she said. “I got to grow up, and I got to find myself before having to find a character that’s so different from myself, and that’s really helpful. It helps keep me certainly grounded more into reality. I think you can lose it otherwise.”
