Netflix Hits 60 Million Subscribers
It was never in any doubt that Netflix is one of the greatest forces in on-demand video right now. However, the streaming service has now revealed that it has reached the astounding milestone of 60 million subscribers worldwide.
41.4 million of those customers are based in the U.S., while 20.88 million are overseas; meaning that almost 13% of the American population is using the streaming service.
Netflix acquired 4.91 million new customers during the first quarter of this year, increasing its user base by 24% and hitting a revenue of $1.57 billion.
The streaming giant has accredited its blooming viewership to its “ever-improving content, including the launch of the third season of House of Cards and new shows Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Bloodline“. Not to mention our favourite, Marvel’s Daredevil, which launched last week!
We can’t wait to see what other original programming Netflix has in store for its certainly bright future.
