Megan McKenna hits back at online trolls calling her “anorexic”
Former TOWIE star Megan McKenna has opened up about dealing with hate online over her figure.
“It’s not OK to call someone fat so why is it OK to call me anorexic?,” she said.
She continued: “Apparently, I starve myself. But just because I have a wheat allergy and am coeliac I have so many issues with my weight because of it.”
The reality star also spoke about her personal insecurities with her body, admitting she has considered herself too “bony” in the past.
“I like my body, my hair, my lips… but I stress about the smallest things. I don’t have big boobs. I don’t like my waist and think I’m bony sometimes.
“A couple of months back I had so much abuse saying that my legs were so bony. But I had food poisoning and I came out of hospital just because I dealt with it in private and no one knew about it, I was getting so much abuse.”
Megan also revealed how much of an impact online trolls have on her life.
She said: “The pressure of trolls on social media can be very stressful. I need to stop caring about that other people say. I’m a strong person but I am only human and sometimes things can get to me … Some (comments) can be really nasty.”
