MCM 2015: ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Star John Noble Says Season 2 “Lost Its Way”
As part of our special MCM London Comic Con coverage, we met up with Sleepy Hollow and Fringe star John Noble during a press conference to discus whether he would make a return to either show in the future.
Asked if he’d do a reboot of Fringe, he said, “I’d be the first to sign on. Seriously.”
Speaking of his recent performance as Henry Parrish, the Horseman of War, in Sleepy Hollow, he was delighted by the first series but felt the second “lost its way a bit.”
Speaking of his character’s initial unassuming manner, he said “I loved that in series one. All the way through I was planting little clues but no-one knew. Even the other actors forgot [the character would be evil].”
He confirmed the planned reboot of the third season, which sees Clifton Campbell take the mantle of show-runner. Noble said the reboot would be “very focused on the two leads.”
“They’re going back to the core of it, which they believe is the relationship between Nicole [Beharie, who plays Lt. Abbie Mills) and Tom Mison [who plays the time-travelling Ichabod Crane].”
Asked if he would agree to make another appearance on the show (it’s Sleepy Hollow, he can return from the dead, sure) Noble said, “yes in theory,” but added he had a busy schedule coming up for the next year.
