Holly Willoughby speaks out about her experience with upskirting
Holly Willoughby shared her uncomfortable experience with upskirting during an interview on This Morning today (March 23).
The TV presenter first brought attention to the issue last month, when Holly posted a picture to Instagram shaming photographers who attempted to take pictures underneath female celebrities’ skirts at The Brit Awards.
Sharing snaps of women who had fallen victim to this tactic, Holly wrote: “At the beginning of the night we held white roses and walked down a red carpet full of the hope and pride that comes with the #timesup campaign… at the end of the night, cameras were held low to get a photo up our skirts… times apparently up on #timesup 😔”.

The Time’s Up movement aims to banish sexual harassment in the workplace, and Holly was among those carrying white roses at the ceremony to highlight sexual abuse in the entertainment industry.
Gina Martin appeared on today’s This Morning to talk about her campaign to make upskirting a sexual offence.
Referencing the pictures taken of Holly at the Brits, co-host Phillip Schofield said: “Working with Holly and other women in this industry, you notice that at events with the Time’s Up campaign…you have women walking down the red carpet with white roses, saying, “Okay time’s up”. Then at the end of the night you’ve got paps taking those [pictures].
“That’s a mild image compared to some of the ones you see.”
He continued: “You see the cameraman go really down on the floor.”
Holly agreed: “Oh yeah, they go really low, and then it’s ‘grapples with her assets’, and it’s like, well that’s not what was happening. I was trying to hide my modesty, and protect myself.”
“And get into a car,” Phil added.
Gina said: “And you were one of the ones carrying a white rose. It’s ridiculous.”
Holly continued to praise Gina for her campaign, saying: “Well done you for being brave enough and making a stand. I’m right behind you, I hope that it makes a change, finally.”
This Morning continues weekdays at 10:30am on ITV.
