Here’s what Ser Jorah wrote in his heartbreaking letter to Daenerys in Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2
Game of Thrones viewers have deciphered the letter Ser Jorah Mormont wrote to Daenerys Targaryen… and ‘heartbreaking’ doesn’t cover it.
It was all looking a bit doom and gloom for poor Ser Jorah after he was told by Jim Broadbent’s Archmaester Ebrose that there is no cure for greyscale and that he would have to retire to old Valyria to live out his remaining days with the stone men.
Realising this would mean no future reunion with his beloved Khaleesi, Jorah wrote a heartfelt farewell letter to Daenerys.
The shot of the letter was blurred and difficult to make out, but the people at JOE managed to make out the general jist:
“I went to the Citadel in the last hope that the maesters could treat me as you ordered. Even with all [illegible] I am beyond any cure out the grave.
“I have had a longer life than I deserved and I only wish I could’ve lived to see the world you’re going to build, standing by your side. I have loved you since the moment I met you. If there’s [illegible].
However, we’re not going to mourn the death of this Game of Thrones OTP just yet as the episode later saw Sam come to the rescue with an untried and particularly gruesome cure, that involved slicing the infected skin away with a knife. Is there hope for Jorah yet?
