Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner joins new indie drama
Sophie Turner is set to star in new indie drama ‘Huntsville‘.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Game of Thrones star will appear alongside Dylan McDermott (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Jack Kilmer (The Nice Guys) in the upcoming Eric England-directed film, which is an adaptation of a 2014 Black List script by Anthony Ragnone.
Huntsville will focus on Hank (McDermott), an otherwise unimportant man living a dreary existence who develops an uncomfortable relationship with high school student and recent transplant survivor Josie (Turner).
Turner is best known for portraying Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, the eldest daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark. After being held hostage for two seasons, Sansa was forced to marry the sadistic Ramsay before finally escaping her husband’s evil clutches in the most recent season of Game of Thrones.
She also appeared in the recent X-Men: Apocalypse as a younger version of Jean Grey, the role originally made famous by Famke Jannsen.
Huntsville is set to go into production this month in Los Angeles. Turner is enjoying a break before returning to film the newest season of Game of Thrones in winter, after production on the series was delayed for plot-related reasons.
