Ferne McCann feels betrayed by Sam Faiers after she “turned her back on her”
Ferne McCann is not on good terms with Sam Faiers after feeling she “turned her back” on her during a difficult past month.
The TOWIE co-stars’ friendship seems to have broken down following the news of Ferne’s pregnancy with Arthur Collins’ baby, who was recently charged in connection with the London acid attack.
Ferne has been making steps to get her life back on track after the ordeal with her ex-boyfriend, but apparently she has done so without the support of her close friend Sam.
A source told heat magazine: “When Ferne revealed she was pregnant, Sam sent her these supportive messages but when it came to meeting up, she kept making her excuses.
“When she didn’t say anything about Ferne’s pregnancy or her This Morning interview in public, things came to a head. Basically it seems like Sam’s worried about her image and career.”
Her friend’s absence during a time when she needed Sam most has left Ferne feeling upset and frustrated. The insider continued: “One minute she’s crying, the next she’s angry.
“Right now she feels like Sam’s turned her back on her.”
The Celebs Go Dating star recently appeared on ITV’s This Morning to discuss her pregnancy in detail for the first time.
She said: “It has been such a stressful, surreal situation to be in that. I’m actually feeling good and positive because I’m pregnant that has given me strength and hope to get through this.”
When host Holly Willoughby asked her how it felt to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time at her scan, Ferne replied: “It was a massive relief. Leading up to that point, you’re thinking I hope everything is OK with the baby. It’s just a magical moment – it’s mental, being pregnant.”
Tearing up, the star continued: “This isn’t how I imagined my first pregnancy to be, but it’s not about me, it’s about this baby.
“My main concern and priority is the baby.”
The Only Way Is Essex will return soon to ITVBe.
