Donald Trump fits in eerily well in Westeros in Game of Thrones mashup
It seems like Donald Trump is everywhere these days, but the only place we’d really like to see him is with his head on the (literal) chopping block in the new season of Game of Thrones.
Luckily, political satirist Huw Parkinson of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Insiders TV show has already had and illustrated this idea, editing clips of Trump’s speeches into some of the most brutal moments in Game of Thrones for an eerily perfect outcome.
In the hilarious mash-up, Trump turns down Daenerys and her people at the gates, bores the hell out of the small council and incites Jon Snow to the point where Snow asks Ollie to bring him his sword (if you’ve watched the Game of Thrones, that’s the moment Snow proves his competence as Night’s Watch commander by executing the naysayer – but unfortunately Parkinson has skipped that part).
Game of Thrones is returning to our screens in April, and we’re incredibly excited for another season of the epic fantasy, which is set in a medieval fantasy land where Trump’s politics and obsession with walls might be borderline acceptable.
