Here’s everything you can watch on Disney+
Disney+ arrives this week and it couldn’t come at a better time. We all need a bit of escapism right now, and this choice keeps the whole family safe and entertained at home. Perfect!
The first thing that has to be said about Disney+’s new content list is that it is extensive. There’s no question of value for money here, especially if you were planning on streaming some of these films in your newfound downtime anyway. There are hundreds of films from Disney’s catalogue, including all your nostalgic favourites. There’s also Marvel and Pixar hit films, plus content from documentary experts National Geographic. That’s all without even discussing the brand new and exclusive content to the platform.
So, here’s the lowdown on what to expect from Disney+ when it launches in the UK tomorrow (March 24):
Disney+ Originals
We’ve been hearing a lot about The Mandalorian since Disney+ premiered in the US and Canada last November. The good news is the new Star Wars series is worth the hype, and some might argue worth the entire subscription fee.
Disney+’s other originals haven’t caused quite so much excitement, but there’s plenty of interesting things there. For High School Musical fans, there’s a new comedy series about a group of students who want to put on their own production of a show. New docuseries The World According to Jeff Goldblum is also worth a watch, featuring the film star on the road as he explores all manner of different things.
Here’s the full list of exclusive new offerings:
- Lady and the Tramp
- Star Girl
- Timmy Failure
- Togo
- One Day
- Clone Wars
- Diary of the Future President
- Disney Fairytale Weddings
- Disney Insider
- Encore!
- High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
- High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Special

- The World According to Jeff Goldblum
Pixar
The full Pixar catalogue is available, including Brave, Coco, Finding Nemo (and sequel), The Incredibles (and sequel), Monsters Inc (and sequel), Ratatouille and, of course, the Toy Story collection.
Marvel
A lot of the big films are here. The Avengers series is all here, as is The X-Men. More recent hits such as Tom Holland’s two films as Spiderman seem to be missing though.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Agent Carter are the big Marvel television series available, although there’s a huge selection including shorts.
National Geographic
Plenty to sink your teeth in here, including Before The Flood, Into the Grand Canyon and Miracle Landing on the Hudson. There’s also big name series such as Brain Games, Cosmos, Drain the Ocean and One Strange Rock.
Star Wars
Enjoy every single numbered Star Wars film, plus Rogue One and Solo. There’s also Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, The New Yoda Chronicles and – of course – flagship Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
Disney classics
More than 500 films from Disney’s catalogue are available on Disney+, including all of your favourites, your mum’s favourites, and your kids’ favourites.
These include 101 Dalmatians (plus the sequel, the live action film and 102 Dalmatians), Aladdin (1992 and 2019 versions and King of Thieves), Alice in Wonderland (1951, 2000 and Through The Looking Glass), The Aristocats, Bambi (and the sequel), Beauty and the Beast (1991, 2017 and The Enchanted Christmas), Cinderella (1950, 2015, plus the two sequels), Dumbo (1941 and 2019), Fantasia (1940 and 2000), Frozen, The Jungle Book (1967 and 2016 and sequel and Mowgli’s Story), The Lion King (1994, 2019, Simba’s Pride and the midquel), The Little Mermaid (and the sequel and spin off), Mary Poppins (1964 and Returns), The Muppets (all movies including Christmas Carol, Treasure Island and Most Wanted), Sleeping Beauty, Tarzan (one and two), Winnie the Pooh (plus A Very Merry Pooh Year and Springtime with Roo), plus so much more.

Some big ones such as Miley Cyrus’s hit Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, That’s So Raven, Liv and Maddie and Phineas and Herb.
The Simpsons
Not expecting this one? Thirty series of The Simpsons will be available to stream on Disney+.
