Danny Baker joins I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Danny Baker has reportedly signed up for the latest series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
The comedian has reportedly signed a deal to appear on the celebrity reality programme, for which he will be paid an enormous six-figure fee.
The news comes a few days after Baker revealed to the world he was now cancer-free, after living with the disease for six years.
Inside sources told The Sun: “Danny has become this year’s highest-paid celebrity in the jungle so far with a six-figure sum. He’s a real broadcasting legend, so show bosses were desperate to sign him.
“Danny doesn’t need the cash, but producers made him an offer he just couldn’t refuse. He’s a real curveball name, and they’re the sort ITV want.
“Danny is absolutely buzzing to be heading into I’m A Celeb… He’s always been a fan of the show and can’t wait to be thrust back into the public eye again having stepped out of the spotlight for some time to battle the disease. He’s a big personality and bosses think he’s going to bring a lot of banter and laughter into the camp.”
However, the news has not been officially confirmed by ITV, who described the report as “speculation”.
The new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will begin later this year, but fans are already spending time speculating over which celebrities could be headed Down Under. One favourite is presenter Carol Vorderman, while boxing champion Tyson Fury, TOWIE‘s Kate Wright and Strictly Come Dancing‘s Aliona Vilania and Ola Jordan are also said to be in the mix for the new series.
