The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls line-up announced
The line-up of famous faces for The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls has been revealed, and this year we even have a Breaking Bad star braving the challenge.
After months of speculation, the line-up for the Channel 4 survival series has finally been announced and it turns out the rumours about RJ Mitte’s appearance are true!
The Breaking Bad actor will join Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens, Olympian and former Strictly contestant Iwan Thomas, Coronation Street‘s Ryan Thomas and comedian Mark Watson.
Pussycat Doll and Celebs Go Dating star Melody Thornton, TOWIE‘s Lucy Mecklenburgh, presenter Sharron Davies, TV doctor Sara Kayat and comedian Shazia Mirza will also step foot on the island for the ultimate endurance test.
The ten celebrities will take on the gruelling test for four weeks and will be allowed on the remote island with nothing but basic tools, medical supplies and enough water for just 24 hours. The contestants will have to do supply food, water, fire and shelter in order to survive, but they will also have to learn to co-exist with one another when hunger and other various obstacles mean that tensions start to rise.
Five embedded crew members will also join the group of celebrities, who will live in exactly the same conditions and document the various challenges they face as a group.
The last celebrity edition of the popular show was aired as part of the channel’s Stand Up to Cancer programming and it was pretty intense to say the least. We saw The Only Way Is Essex‘s Lydia Bright lodge a sharp metal fish-hook into her own hand and there was even a battle with a cayman crocodile, which the celebrities later enjoyed for dinner.
The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls will return this autumn on Channel 4.
