CBS Action moves to channel 39 on Freeview
CBS Action is moving to channel 39 on Freeview from today (August 2).
The change is part of a Freeview reshuffle, which also sees BBC News moved to channel 231 and Sky News to channel 233. CBS Action +1 will also move up the electronic programming guide to channel 64.
The change comes as CBS Action prepares for a summer filled with fast-paced drama. As well as continuing audience favourites such as NCIS, Texas Ranger and MacGyver, August will see the premiere of season three of Diagnosis Murder on the channel.
Starting on August 19 and airing weekdays at 7pm, Diagnosis Murder follows a team of medical experts who assist the LAPD in tricky criminal cases. Dick Van Dyke heads up the team as Dr. Mark Sloan, the Chief of Internal Medicine at Community General Hospital, while Barry Van Dyke, Michael Tucci, Victoria Rowell and new addition Charlie Schlatter also play main roles on the series.
Season three sees the team fight biological warfare, investigate a drive-by shooting and even examine the case of a mysterious mid-flight murder.
That’s not to mention, Western Weekends will be returning in August, during which each of the classic Gunsmoke movies will be airing every Sunday at 6pm.
Starting on Sunday, August 6, CBS Action will host the adventures of retired Marshal Matt Dillon as he confronts foes old and new.
