Which British band may make an appearance on Game of Thrones s7?
Yet another musical act may be making an appearance on Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones has famously given bit-parts to musicians and bands several times before, with Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody, Sigur Rós, Mastoden, Of Monsters and Men, and Will Champion from Coldplay all making appearances in the hit fantasy drama.
Now Game of Thrones fansite Watchers on the Wall has revealed that British band Bastille will be the latest musicians to film a cameo on the series. According to WotW’s source, the BRIT Award-winners will portray wildlings in the final episode of the upcoming seventh season.
This is all still a rumour, but it would fit in perfectly with Bastille’s schedule if true. In an interview published yesterday with VOGUE, frontman Dan Smith said that the group planned to “check out the set of Game of Thrones soon” after touring the US and UK. Could they have been invited for a cameo?
Bastille consists of singer Dan Smith, keyboardist Kyle Simmons, guitarist and bassist Will Farquarson and drummer Chris Wood.
The indie pop band released their first studio album, Bad Blood, in 2013, premiering straight at number one in the UK Albums Chart.
They were nominated for four BRIT Awards in 2014, winning the British Breakthrough Act.
