Binky Felstead responds to claims that Made In Chelsea is fake and scripted
Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead has insisted that the reality television series is in fact genuine.
The 13th series of Made In Chelsea kicked off this week and according to cast member Binky, last night’s premiere episode proves that the show is not fake.
Yesterday’s episode saw Binky announce her pregnancy news to the MIC gang, as she admitted to her cast members that she is expecting her first baby with Josh ‘JP’ Patterson.
“We filmed telling everyone on the show – genuinely, no one knew so we got the natural reactions, and I guess it just proves that the show is real,” Binky said.
She continued: “We’re not actresses or actors. This is a real baby inside and it’s very exciting, we didn’t see it coming.”
The on-off pair made the public revelation back in January of this year, after filming the scenes featured yesterday. Binky previously told Hello Magazine: “It’s obviously been a huge shock to both of us. This is a new start and a new chapter in our lives. I want to be a little family, to be honest. But I’m going to be ok either way.
“Whatever happens, this baby is not going to be affected.
“And I know Josh will be part of the baby’s life whether we are together or not. We are a unit now.”
JP added: “Where we’re both being very mature is with the fact that you should never get back together just because there’s a baby in the picture. It has to be for the right reasons.
“We love each other a great deal, and there’s no pressure – but you do have to take the past into consideration, where there have been a few hiccups. We’re just taking it very easy.”
Made In Chelsea continues Monday at 9pm on E4.
