First Love Island 2017 contestant revealed… and he dumped his girlfriend to be on the show
The first inhabitant of the Love Island villa has been named and it looks like we have a pretty ruthless islander on our hands because he’s just dumped his girlfriend to be on the show.
It has been revealed that personal trainer and fitness model David Lundy will appear on this year’s instalment of the ITV2 dating series and he did just about anything to get on the programme, including ditching his long-term girlfriend.
…Something tells us the fame and fortune had a stronger calling than finding love for this contestant.

A close friend of his now ex-girlfriend has been keen to let the public know what David is “really like” before he appears on the series. Claiming the personal trainer was still with his girlfriend, model Danielle Kedward, until Tuesday morning, the friend revealed how David split up with Danielle over voice message on Tuesday afternoon.
The source explained: “They’ve been dating seriously for a couple of months. David was the one who asked Danielle to be his girlfriend and even told her that he loved her.
“He’s been going to auditions and speaking to producers behind her back. It’s awful. The women going on the show should know what he’s really like. It’s absolutely disgusting.
It is also rumoured that former contestant Katie Salmon might be entering the villa once again this year after she failed to find love in 2016. A source told The Sun: “Katie was only in the house for five minutes but was caught up in two of the most dramatic twists in the entire series.
“It’s no secret that ITV are hoping for more sex, drama and tensions this year, and they know that Katie would be the perfect instigator.
“She’s already spoken to producers who seem to want her to return to the villa for the whole stint rather than arriving later than the others.
“Katie is a gorgeous girl and she’s bound to make even more of an impact second time around – boys AND girls need to watch out.”
Love Island returns soon to ITV2.
